REBA Thought Leaders: Emily Miller of Workhuman on using recognition to avert The Great Resignation

Emily Miller, VP of sales EMEA at Workhuman, speaks with Debi O’Donovan, co-founder and director at REBA, about how to use the power of recognition to head off The Great Resignation.

Even good employers are currently watching as dozens or hundreds of employees hand in their notice due to lack of connection, engagement or feeling of purpose, says O’Donovan.

In recent months employees have become much more certain of what they will and won’t accept in the workplace.

“For those companies that are not putting the human at the centre, employees are very happy to jump ship,” says Miller.

She goes on to highlight Workhuman’s research, which showed that four in 10 employees are currently considering leaving their organisation. As a result, this is the number one issue that many employers need to address right now.
