Video tutorial: Chrysaor’s Corinne Kelt on communicating financial wellbeing to a remote workforce
Finding a partner that understood those needs led to the company appointing Lorica to introduce financial wellbeing to its business, explained Corinne Kelt, human resources director at Chrysaor, in association with Lorica. Chrysaor had expanded from 16 to 400 employees after an acquisition; needed to better help some of its high earners and needed to showcase its financial wellbeing offering to the new staff moving over.
“We thought how do we communicate with these people?” Kelt explained to delegates at the REBA FinWell Forum. “We did a video campaign to communicate with the population that were going to transfer over before they were arriving,” she said. The company also did one to ones, either face to face or via telephone consultations. These have continued since. Weekend webinars also help communicate with offshore staff as they are a little quieter at weekends, she said.
Getting the right communication strategy was key for the staff pre-and post-arrival, explained Kelt. “A lot of our platform are on rotas offshore so they work two weeks and they come home for two weeks. They are very busy when they are offshore and sometimes they are very busy when they are at home, so trying to communicate with them can be awkward,” she said.
The company had developed a bank of content and so has now put together a calendar of the content to allow staff to better access it – such as information around January salary review.
