Working Well: 2021 Global Wellbeing Survey
The purpose of the survey was to understand how employers around the world are addressing wellbeing and the impact having a wellbeing programme has on their overall company performance.
Key findings
- Wellbeing is a people and performance approach and requires balancing the appropriate resources and opportunities, with the commitment to achieve optimal health, resilience and performance for the individual, organisation, and community.
- In today’s environment, Aon’s research shows that wellbeing has become much more than programmes, apps, tools and nice-to-have resources to change employee behaviour.
- Wellbeing is a people and performance strategy, and is on its way to becoming the ethos of organisations around the globe. 82% of organisations globally believe wellbeing is important within their company. It is a business essential.
1,648 companies in 41 countries and 25 languages participated in the online survey. Responses were weighted to produce a statistically significant representation of organizations globally, regionally and by country. Of note, the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 coincided with the research phase of this study.
