BP, Johnson and Johnson, Rolls Royce and GSK on the importance of evidence-based wellbeing

An panel of employers at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress discussed the importance of evidence-based wellbeing and why HR, reward and wellbeing practitioners need clinical experts.

Marcus Hunt head of global health services at Johnson and Johnson, Richard Heron, VP health and chief medical officer at BP, David Roomes, chief medical officer - Rolls-Royce, Arne Hugo VP head of employee health and wellbeing at GSK considered how important it is for reward and benefits managers and HR directors, who increasingly find themselves responsible for wellbeing, to have the support and knowledge of clinical experts. The panel discussed how a partnership between clinical experts and reward and benefits professionals can allow employers to determine the best wellbeing interventions and initiatives for staff based on clinical data and knowledge.

Marcus Hunt said: "There are a lot of products out there that look good but they lack any robust data behind them so we have to be careful and critical about the interventions that we take on board."
