Video tutorial: How to use data and analytics to develop a compelling and authentic EVP

Employers need to develop an insight-led employee value proposition to attract, retain and excite people to do their best for them, according to David Wreford, partner at Mercer.

Speaking at the REBA Innovation Day he suggested that more needs to be done to ensure EVPs meet all the requirements they should – including uniquely defining an organisation as well as being well understood by employees and prospective employees. “There is something about the integrity of the employee proposition which is really important,” he said.

He described how the company underwent social scraping for employers to understand whether what they say and what they do is properly linked. “These days social media will not be your friend if you are advocating one thing and behaving in another way,” he said.

He outlined a holistic view of how to create a compelling EVP and the steps needed to do that.

This video tutorial was recorded at the REBA Innovation Day, held on 23 November 2017.
