Pieter has over three decades of experience in the international pensions arena and held several management positions within pension providers, life insurance companies and consulting firms. He is seen in the market as a very experienced pension specialist with an extensive network in the financial services industry. Prior to joining AkzoNobel, he has led KPMG’s pension advisory in the Netherlands and was their liaison with PensionsEurope. He is IEBA member and former IEBA Board Member in the Netherlands. Since August 2021, he is coordinating AkzoNobel’s pension schemes, other post-employment plans, and employee benefits worldwide as Global Pensions and Benefits Director. Since July 2022, Pieter is Chair of the Business at OECD (BIAC) Private Pension Expert Group, representing all employers in OECD countries.
