Nicola Fordham

Chief Solutions Officer, MAXIS GBN

As Chief Solutions Officer at MAXIS GBN, Nicola Fordham oversees the evolution and development of our offering including insurance solutions and global programmes. In this role she ensures that our solutions continue to address new challenges in the market and fit the needs of our multinational clients.  

Nicola joined MAXIS GBN in 2017 from MetLife UK where, as Chief Pricing Underwriter, she was responsible for the technical relationship between MetLife UK and MAXIS. She joined MAXIS as Director of Underwriting before stepping into the role of Chief Underwriting Officer in 2021.  In this role she worked closely with the MAXIS network of local insurers, the MAXIS EU Underwriting Hub and our multinational clients. In September 2024 Nicola moved to the role of Chief Solutions Officer, creating a new function within the business. Nicola has a wealth of knowledge to draw upon, with more than 20 years’ experience as a pricing underwriter for MetLife UK, Zurich, Generali and Unum.

Sarah leads the strategy division within AXA Health, responsible for monitoring key market developments, setting the strategic direction of the business, and ensuring that AXA Health maintains a focus on achieving its core ambition. Pieter Kiveron

Global Pensions and Benefits Director, AkzoNobel

Pieter has over three decades of experience in the international pensions arena and held several management positions within pension providers, life insurance companies and consulting firms. He is seen in the market as a very experienced pension specialist with an extensive network in the financial services industry. Prior to joining AkzoNobel, he has led KPMG’s pension advisory in the Netherlands and was their liaison with PensionsEurope. He is IEBA member and former IEBA Board Member in the Netherlands. Since August 2021, he is coordinating AkzoNobel’s pension schemes, other post-employment plans, and employee benefits worldwide as Global Pensions and Benefits Director. Since July 2022, Pieter is Chair of the Business at OECD (BIAC) Private Pension Expert Group, representing all employers in OECD countries. He is member of the advisory board of the Pension Seminars of ITEM|Maastricht University.

Melody has a proven track record in global benefits with nearly 20 years of working experience in Europe, US & Canada and Asia. In APAC, this includes senior positions with a major life insurance company and an in-house VP benefits & wellness role with a leading US investment bank. In the US & Canada, Melody has held various roles at Mercer providing global benefits management and retirement solutions for clients.

Graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Melody is an associate actuary with the Society of Actuaries.
