Video tutorial: Sue Pemberton of Premier Companies on a benefit strategy for a varied demographic

Providing meaningful options for your employees that meet the needs of a diverse workforce is vital for the effectiveness of your benefit strategy, according to Sue Pemberton, head of employee services for Premier Companies.

Speaking at the REBA Employee Wellbeing Congress 2019, Pemberton said that organisations had to ensure that they worked off good data to understand what they were getting right, including tools such as looking at the benefits most taken up by various age groups.

“Some things you think are going to be age specific really aren’t – such as working flexible hours or the ability to work at home or outside of the normal working hours. There’s a perception that’s something you do when you’ve got young kids but older people like that too,” she said.
