REBA Thought Leaders: Chris Bruce speaks to Debi O'Donovan about reward technology development

Chris Bruce, managing director, Thomsons Online Benefits talks to Debi O'Donovan, director, REBA about why employee engagement is essential, how administration is being automated - and why it's "hold onto your hats time" for benefits technology.

"The focus for the future will be less on administration and more about 'what benefits should I have in place and how do I design those benefits for my multi-generational workforce'," says Bruce.

He adds that 64 per cent of the workforce will comprise Generation Y or Generation Z employees, who have "grown up with mobile technology and social media, and who are gamified from birth". That, he says, will affect everything from communication through to the entire way in which companies are structured.

Watch the video to find out why Bruce believes that data will shape future benefits, and how technology will be "like having a best friend who is a benefits geek".
