DC Master Trust Marketplace

Hymans Robertson has brought together leading master trust providers in its DC Master Trust Marketplace to discuss key topical issues. For this first series we have 12 leading providers with combined assets under management of £40 billion, looking after more than 11 million pension scheme members.

Undoubtedly, master trusts are expected to be the driving force in the DC market for many years to come. These roundtable discussions give you first-hand insight into the master trust world, and offer the opportunity to hear providers’ thoughts directly from leaders within their business.

In this first series you can hear about three key topics:

Responsible investing

The providers demonstrate that responsible investing (RI) is more than just ticking a box. It’s about making a positive impact without causing a negative effect on performance. Hear more about how they integrate RI into their approach, how they continue to develop this approach, and how they measure this against their own targets.

Member outcomes

The providers highlight the importance of giving members confidence about their pension savings and wider financial wellbeing. Hear more about how they segment and target their communications to drive engagement, using data science and techniques such as nudges.

Technology

The importance of technology has really come to the forefront – helping providers adapt during these challenging times. Hear about why they are investing heavily in technology, the rise of online and mobile technology, and the need for flexible and adaptable pension platforms.

The series continues…

The marketplace roundtables have certainly stirred up some debate – especially around RI – providing a very useful glimpse into the future of the DC pensions world.

Following the success of the first series, the next roundtable will provide a different perspective – you can expect to hear from master trust trustee boards and what matters to pension scheme savers.

Look out for more insight from the DC Master Trust Marketplace.
