Report: The Changing Educational Attainment of Graduate Recruits to Major Public Sector Occupations
The report examines how levels of education achievement have changed over time for new graduate recruits to major public sector occupations relative to all occupations. Although education achievement is not a direct measure of worker quality, it is likely to correlate to individuals’ skills and the wages they are likely to be able to receive.
In particular, the report looks in detail at trends for teachers, doctors, nurses and NHS professionals allied to medicine, as well as civil servants, police officers and prison service workers.
