How to create a benefits strategy that enables every employee to thrive
While many employees have a positive experience at work, the majority feel that their career prospects are hampered by their disability, illness or condition, and a significant minority believe that employers could do more to support them.
These are the findings of REBA’s Disability in the Workplace 2023 research report, conducted in partnership with Bupa, which explores the key benefits strategies, policies and culture needed to support disabled employees and workers with long-term or chronic illnesses, impairments or conditions.
But while some employers have well-embedded policies to support disabled employees, businesses often don’t know where to start to create cultures, benefits strategies and policies that enable everyone to thrive at work and in their wider lives.
To help address this issue, the research includes information on:
- The lived experiences of disabled employees and workers with long-term or chronic illnesses, impairments or conditions.
- Ways that employers can improve access to relevant benefits and support.
- How to design a benefits strategy that enables disabled employees to thrive.
