Redington, CMHA, Wood Plc and Siemens on creating equality in reward and wellbeing strategies

A panel of experts at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress discussed how reward, benefits and wellbeing strategies still need to change to be truly inclusive and create equality for all.

The discussion was chaired by REBA's content director Maggie Williams. It brought together Dawid Konotey-Ahulu, founder of Redington; Poppy Jaman OBE, CEO at City Mental Health Alliance; Claire Yule, group head of compensation and benefits at Wood Plc; and Nikki Roche, senior international benefits consultant and UK Neurodiversity lead at Siemens. Together they considered where the systemic biases in employee benefits, insurance and wellbeing offerings exist and what changes are necessary to create fairness.

They also tackled other issues including challenges around financial wellbeing and pensions across different demographics – specifically ethnicity, gender and socio-economically disadvantaged employees; whether mental wellbeing programmes need to consider ethnicity and gender-based issues; and how to solve data sensitivity issues around ethnic pay reporting.
