Damien Tessiere of IHS Markit on supporting gender benefits as part of a diverse wellbeing strategy
Speaking at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress, Tessiere outlines how they are supporting gender benefits as part of a diverse wellbeing strategy.
He explains that the company board currently has a 40/60 split of female to male members and it is targeting a 50/50 split by 2022. He says that although it is challenging they are determined to make it work, and hopes that the company culture of supporting diversity and inclusion will help to support more women to take promotions and go further in their careers at the organisation.
Tessiere reveals the steps the business has taken in order to achieve the right culture, including: the establishment of a diversity and inclusion council; employee champions; surveys around wellbeing and health; and a focus on innovation, which saw the organisation launch a mental health app during lockdown to help employees.
