The need to eradicate ethnic disparities and inequalities in the workplace and beyond

Ethnic disparities and inequalities can be a root cause of poor mental wellbeing. To help eradicate these inequalities the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities has launched a call for evidence focusing on four areas: education, employment and enterprise, health, crime and policing.

The Commission highlights that it knows that there are ethnic disparities in educational attainment at school, in employment, in risk factors and outcomes for different health conditions, and within the criminal justice system.

To understand why such disparities exist, and what works and what does not, it is inviting submissions of evidence from local communities and researchers, as well as employers, to answer 10 key questions.

The deadline for responses to the call for evidence is Monday 30 November 2020 at 11:45pm. Find out more about the questions and how to respond.
