Webinar recording: Delivering great benefits design from strategy to tactics

This webinar, run with strategic partners Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing, considers how external and internal pressures are influencing benefits design strategy and tactics.

We have moved rapidly from a pandemic into a cost-of-living crisis coupled with labour and skills shortages. However, there’s no playbook on how to deal with the business pressures at a time of economic uncertainty and high expectation from employees.

Drawing on REBA’s newly published Benefits Design Research 2023, we took a look at the impact of these internal and external pressures on benefits and wellbeing decision-making and activity.

The panel discussed practical examples of benefits and wellbeing design, across aspects of funding, choice, personalisation, engagement and ESG, and whether reward professionals should focus on the big or the small to have impact in 2023 and beyond.

Key issues to be explored included: the impact of ongoing crises on benefits design; the key economic and labour drivers affecting benefits design in 2023 and beyond; which tactical benefits delivery actions are most likely to engage the workforce; how employers can offer greater fairness without busting benefits budgets; quick wins when offering choice and personalisation.

Chaired by REBA’s director Debi O’Donovan, the panel included:

  • Matthew Gregson, executive director at Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing
  • Tereza Odunoye, head of international benefits at Nuveen
  • Ketan Patel, head of APAC and EMEA benefits at Haleon

REBA webinars are complimentary for everyone working within rewards and benefits, HR, and wellbeing. Thanks to strategic partner Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing for supporting this REBA webinar.
