Dr Steve Iley chief medical officer of Jaguar Land Rover on how wellbeing leads to long-term value

Dr Steve Iley, chief medical officer at Jaguar Land Rover and Dr Chris Tomkins head of wellbeing at AXA Health, discuss how wellbeing supports a vibrant workplace for long-term value at Jaguar Land Rover at REBA's Employee Wellbeing Congress.

Dr Tomkins said that if organisations are going to deliver effective wellbeing programmes, the biggest lesson to learn from this year is that businesses have got to demonstrate an improvement in health. Companies need to consider how they are setting benchmarks and milestones and measuring these outcomes.

Dr Iley discussed how Jaguar Land Rover's wellbeing strategy was based around mind, body and life, so that employees were supported completely. The organisation engaged with all staff members from managers to factory workers to ensure the wellbeing programme was inclusive. The aim was to improve health outcomes which, the company believed, would lead to an improvement in employee engagement.
