Video: Matthew Taylor of the RSA on preparing your workforce for the future

Matthew Taylor, chief executive of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) and government gig economy adviser, suggests what CEOs and leadership teams could be doing right now to make a big difference to the workplace in the future.

Taylor argues that engagement with employees around technology changes is absolutely critical in order to reassure them about your organisation’s values and intentions.

“The scale of technological change requires leaders of organisations to be quite transparent about the issues and changes they face, because some of these issues are quite ethical and that means they’re going to have to be open about their core business model,” he says.

He highlights that if technology is really going to change the way that you work, then business leaders need to understand their business proposition.

Matthew Taylor is the opening keynote speaker at this year’s Innovation Day. Join us on 28 November in central London to future-proof your reward and benefits strategy.
