Michele Russell, head of reward at esure Group on the risks and opportunities for 2021
“We’re a business undergoing a huge amount of transformation and a huge amount of change; our potential risk is really around attracting new talent,” explains Russell.
These changes are affecting the whole people strategy and are having an impact on the total reward proposition.
Russell says that there is now an opportunity to do things differently, so she is undertaking engagement surveys to better understand what’s important to employees and to shape reward, benefit and wellbeing decisions.
She also highlights her concerns around financial wellbeing and the need to support employees, many of whom have been impacted financially by the pandemic, and how she will be using data to understand people’s challenges and how best to support them.
Michele attended REBA’s exclusive Reinventing Reward for New Workforce Needs breakfast in association with Mercer Marsh Benefits. It brought together senior reward professionals from an array of sectors to discuss the rising challenges, risks and opportunities for 2021.
