REBA Technology Survey 2017/18: HR technology set for explosive growth
The REBA Technology Survey 2017/18 showed that although technology is already well used for general HR, payroll and employee benefits management, in other areas it was less popular. However for talent, performance, compensation and learning and development, technology was used by less than half of the respondents to the survey.
This is set to change however. Over the coming years the study shows an anticipated 120.6% increase in the use of talent management technology. This is followed by an 85% increase in the use of compensation technology, a 70.9% increase in performance management technology and a 70.3% increase in the use of learning and development technology.
"The use of technology for general HR administration is well established, however this study shows the exciting implications of bringing technology into other areas of HR management too," said Debi O'Donovan, director at REBA.
"This will be especially important given new obligations such as gender pay gap reporting. Technology will help companies in better managing such obligations, reducing both complexity and the possibility of errors," she said.
