Report: Global Human Capital Trends 2016

Deloitte’s report includes responses from more than 7,000 HR and business leaders from 130 countries. The research pulls out 10 trends in organisation design and culture.

Report: Global Human Capital Trends 2016 1

Key findings

  • Only 28% of business leaders believe they understand their culture well, while only 19% believe they have ‘the right culture’.
  • 18% don’t formally measure employee engagement, while only 7% measure it on a monthly or more frequent basis.
  • More than half expect an increase or significant increase in the use of contingent workers in the next three to five years.
  • 72% think digital HR is important or very important. Yet only 9% feel fully ready for it.

The study found four drivers of change: demographic upheaval; technology everywhere and digital everything; speed in the exponential economy; and new social contracts between employer and worker.
