The amount of transformation in the workplace right now can be overwhelming! The seemingly endless pay, benefits and policy implications of so much change coupled with a cost-of-living crisis is a lot to contend with.
It's great that purpose, sustainability and inclusion are now firmly on the agenda, but it's tough to know how these concepts translate into tangible actions that will make a difference to our ability to recruit and retain talent across different generations in the tightest labour market we've seen in 50 years!
Huge technological and societal shifts also mean reward and benefits professionals are having to think fast and be nimble to keep up with the demands of today's candidates and employees while keeping a close eye on budgets.
It is precisely when there is so much going on, that it is vital to step away from the job for a day to sense check that what we're trying to achieve is still relevant; to make sure we're not so busy right now that we miss what is coming next.
